Data-based reporting: Statistics Estonia

From the point of view of real-time economy, it is very important to create a unified system, i.e. a taxonomy across agencies of all data that is collected in the state. All collected data should form a single whole, and each state agency using the data will have a certain part of it, which is its area of responsibility.

Statistics Estonia has already done a lot of work in this regard within the framework of Reporting 3.0. The organisation of the taxonomies of the data collected by the state will continue in 2023. In addition, Statistics Estonia is developing the capability to accept standardised transaction-based data and an automatic feedback service for entrepreneurs via a machine interface. This means that data that was previously presented in reports could be transferred as data. For this, Statistics Estonia must be ready to accept the data and provide feedback to the entrepreneur about it, for example, if there are errors, but also about the acceptance of the data.
