All companies operating in Estonia must submit an annual report. By the end of 2023, the Centre of Registers and Information Systems will complete a prototype of how, instead of an annual report, entrepreneurs could submit data from which the report could be automatically compiled.
The focus is primarily on micro, small, and, in some cases, medium-sized enterprises, because for them, submitting an annual report causes an unreasonably high administrative burden and resource expenditure. For this purpose, the capability to accept machine-readable data directly from the accounting software will be completed at the end of the year. Some data will also automatically be transferred from e-Financials if the entrepreneur uses the solution.
