eFTI platforms are data exchange platforms for electronic freight information, which are interfaced with accounting or other business software as well as with a national access point that mediates information to controlling authorities (Police and Border Guard Board, customs, etc.).
To enable the introduction of electronic consignment notes and the development of eFTI platforms, an analysis of the requirements for eFTI platforms and a study where the national access point (NAP) should be located were carried out.
Enterprise Estonia supported the creation of eFTI platforms; the creation of eFTI platforms will take place in 2023 by companies in the logistics and IT sectors.
Important preliminary work has been done for the development of the national access point.
